COSMIC MESSAGE
Messier 16, also known as the Eagle Nebula, is a young star cluster surrounded by clouds of dust and glowing gas. The famous Pillars of Creation, dense columns of dust and gas, are found within this nebula. These pillars are light-years long and are sites where new stars are forming. Energetic radiation from the cluster's stars erodes the pillars.
