COSMIC MESSAGE

Centaurus A is the closest active galaxy to us, only 11 million light-years away. It spans over 60,000 light-years and is also known as NGC 5128. This peculiar elliptical galaxy was formed from the collision of two normal galaxies, resulting in a jumble of young blue star clusters, pink star-forming regions, and dark dust lanes.
