COSMIC MESSAGE

Messier 106, also known as NGC 4258, is a large spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici. It is about 80,000 light-years across and 23.5 million light-years away. M106 is the largest member of the Canes II galaxy group. Its distance is well-known because it can be directly measured by tracking its masers.
