COSMIC MESSAGE
The center of our Milky Way Galaxy is about 30,000 light-years away toward Sagittarius. In visible light, dust obscures much of this region. However, in infrared light, dust glows and obscures less, allowing nearly a million stars to be seen in this photograph. The Galactic Center itself appears on the left.
