COSMIC MESSAGE
Every August, Earth passes through a stream of debris left by Comet Swift-Tuttle. This dust and ice burns up in our atmosphere, creating the Perseid meteor shower. These meteors appear to originate from the constellation Perseus, about 1,000 light-years from Earth. The shower peaks later this week.
