NGC 2170 is a dusty nebula reflecting the light of nearby hot stars. It shines at the upper left of this celestial still life. Other bluish reflection nebulae, a compact red emission region, and streamers of obscuring dust are also visible. These clouds of gas, dust, and hot stars are commonly found in massive, star-forming regions.
