COSMIC MESSAGE

This cosmic cloud, NGC 3324, was sculpted by stellar winds from hot, young stars. Dust clouds are silhouetted against glowing atomic gas. This star-forming region spans about 35 light-years. It lies 7,500 light-years away in the southern constellation Carina. This image combines emission from ionized sulfur, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms.
