COSMIC MESSAGE
With engines blazing, a large Soyuz-FG rocket bids farewell to Earth. Launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, it carried a Soyuz MS-09 spacecraft into orbit. On board were International Space Station Expedition 56-57 crew members Sergey Prokopyev, Serena Aunon-Chancellor, and Alexander Gerst. Their spacecraft successfully docked with the orbiting outpost.
