A lone neutron star has been found within the debris of an old supernova explosion, E0102-72.3. The neutron star, a blue dot, is seen near the bottom left of the image. This composite shows X-ray light from NASA's Chandra Observatory in blue, and optical light from ESO's Very Large Telescope and NASA's Hubble Space Telescope in red and green.
