The solar corona, the Sun's outer atmosphere, is usually overwhelmed by the bright solar disk. During a total solar eclipse, its light becomes visible. This detailed wide-angle image of the corona was created using over 120 images and meticulous digital processing. It captures the subtle details and extreme ranges in the corona's brightness that are difficult to photograph.
