The central Milky Way rises over Alandan Lake in Iran's Alborz mountains in this springtime nightscape. The luminous band of stars and nebulae from our galaxy is reflected in the lake's still surface. Jupiter and Saturn are visible, mingled with the diffuse galactic starlight.
