The Carina Nebula, also known as NGC 3372, is a vast star-forming region in the southern sky. It spans over 300 light-years and is about 7,500 light-years away. This telescopic view reveals glowing filaments of interstellar gas and obscuring cosmic dust clouds. It is one of the largest star-forming regions in our galaxy.
