Painting with Jupiter

Jupiter's signature bands and vortices, captured by the Juno spacecraft's JunoCam, form the basis of this interplanetary post-impressionist artwork. Citizen scientist Rick Lundh processed an image from Juno's December 2017 close encounter, applying an oil-painting filter to create the digital canvas. This artistic rendering highlights the complex atmospheric patterns of the gas giant.
