Boulders on Bennu
NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
The surface of asteroid 101955 Bennu is littered with boulders, as seen in this dramatic close-up from the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft. Taken from just 3.4 kilometers away, the image shows a field of view about 50 meters across, with one light-colored boulder measuring 4.8 meters tall. Bennu is likely a rubble pile asteroid, less than 500 meters across.
