The young stars of NGC 3572 illuminate gas and dust clouds, creating a striking cosmic skyscape. This region in the far southern skies is about 9,000 light-years away, often overlooked in favor of its brighter neighbor, the Carina Nebula. The cluster's stars are visible toward the upper left, within a telescopic frame that spans about 100 light-years.
