The OSIRIS-REx spacecraft successfully touched asteroid Bennu on October 20, 2020. Its sampling arm, TAGSAM, contacted the boulder-strewn surface to collect a sample. This close-up image, taken by the spacecraft's SamCam, shows the sampling head crushing rocks. The spacecraft then fired nitrogen gas to stir up material for collection, 321 million kilometers from Earth.
