COSMIC MESSAGE
The Lobster Nebula, NGC 6357, is a star-forming region about 8,000 light-years away in Scorpius. It contains some of the most massive stars known, including those in the cluster Pismis 24. The blue glow in the inner region comes from ionized hydrogen gas. This nebula is a complex mix of gas, dust, and stars at various stages of formation.
