COSMIC MESSAGE
Mirach's Ghost is a faint galaxy seen almost directly in front of the bright star Mirach, also known as Beta Andromedae. Mirach itself is a red giant star, about 200 light-years away. It is cooler but much larger and brighter than our Sun. The galaxy, though obscured by the star's glare in most views, is a known object to astronomers.
