On July 11, 2020, NASA's Parker Solar Probe captured this view of the nightside of Venus from 12,400 kilometers away. The probe was making its third of seven gravity-assist flybys of the inner planet. These maneuvers use Venus's gravity to alter the probe's orbit, bringing it closer to the Sun to study the inner heliosphere and solar corona.
