Stars and Dust Across Corona Australis
NASA APOD · Vikas Chander
COSMIC MESSAGE
Cosmic dust clouds cross a rich field of stars in Corona Australis, the Southern Crown. The dust clouds are less than 500 light-years away, and they block light from more distant background stars. The frame spans about 15 light-years at the clouds' estimated distance. At the top right are several reflection nebulae, glowing blue from scattered starlight.
