COSMIC MESSAGE
The Crab Nebula, also known as M1, is the remnant of a supernova observed by astronomers in 1054. This expanding cloud of debris is about ten light-years across and is still spreading out at over 1,000 kilometers per second. Over the past decade, astronomers have observed its continued expansion.
