Solargraphic Analemmas

These three figure-8 curves, called analemmas, track the Sun's path over a year from Proboszczow, Poland. Each analemma was created by a pinhole camera fixed to face south for an entire year. The Sun's position on June 21, the summer solstice, is at the top of each curve. This method records the Sun's changing position directly onto a single piece of photographic paper.
