NGC 602, the Oyster Star Cluster, is about 5 million years old and sits in the Small Magellanic Cloud. This satellite galaxy is roughly 200,000 light-years distant. The cluster is surrounded by the gas and dust from which its stars were born. Hubble, Chandra, and Spitzer data reveal fantastic ridges and swept-back gas formations around the young stars.
