Unusual Spiral Galaxy M66 from Webb
Galaxy M66, captured here by the James Webb Space Telescope in infrared light, is an unusual spiral galaxy. Its spiral arms are asymmetric, and its nucleus appears displaced. These irregularities are likely due to gravitational interactions with its nearby neighbors, M65 and NGC 3628, highlighting the dynamic nature of galactic evolution.
