COSMIC MESSAGE
Messier 33, also known as the Triangulum Galaxy, is a spiral galaxy about three million light-years away. It is a prominent member of our Local Group of galaxies. This image highlights the galaxy's numerous reddish ionized hydrogen clouds, called HII regions. These regions are where new stars are actively forming, sprawling along M33's loose spiral arms.
