COSMIC MESSAGE
The last full moon of 2023, known in some northern hemisphere cultures as the Cold Moon, rises in this mountain landscape. Captured near Monte Grappa, Italy, the Moon appears stretched and distorted near the horizon. This effect is not the Moon melting, but an optical illusion caused by atmospheric refraction, creating mirages of the lunar disk.
