COSMIC MESSAGE
The Dark Doodad Nebula is a long, strange brown ribbon in the sky. It is a molecular cloud, about three degrees long, near the star cluster NGC 4372. Its dark color comes from a high concentration of interstellar dust, which blocks light from more distant stars. The nebula sweeps across the center of a rich and colorful starfield.
