The Long Tails Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS
NASA APOD · Jose Santivañez Mueras
COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS is now visible to the unaided eye in the evening skies, though its proximity to the Sun makes it challenging to observe. This image, captured just before sunrise from an Andes Mountain in Peru, shows the comet from an unusually high perch. The low eastern horizon allowed a clear view of the comet's long tails in the pre-dawn sky.
