COSMIC MESSAGE
Just east of the Lagoon Nebula, M8, is this field of view in Sagittarius. This complex of nebulae, NGC 6559, contains obscuring dust, red emission, and blue reflection. It was not included in Charles Messier's catalog because it is slightly fainter than M8.
