This aurora over Norway looks like a hummingbird, though it was only through a sensitive camera that the faint glows formed this shape. The aurora was bright enough to be seen with the unaided eye during blue hour. Red colors, typically occurring higher in the atmosphere, are visible as rays, reminiscent of feathers.
