This telescopic image shows two comets, C/2022 E3 (ZTF) and C/2022 U2 (ATLAS), in the constellation Auriga. Both comets were discovered in 2022 by sky survey projects. They are long-period comets, now outbound after reaching their closest points to the Sun.
