T Tauri, a prototype variable star, glows orange near the top center of this dusty image. Next to it, Hind's Variable Nebula, NGC 1555, appears as a yellow cosmic cloud. Both the star and the nebula, located about 650 light-years away in the Taurus molecular cloud, vary significantly in brightness.
