COSMIC MESSAGE
The Virgo Cluster, about 50 million light-years away, is the closest large galaxy cluster to our own. This nearly 4-degree wide field of view shows several of its prominent members. Bright elliptical galaxies M87, M86, and M84 are visible, with M86 and M84 forming part of Markarian's Chain, a striking line-up of galaxies.
