COSMIC MESSAGE
This cosmic photo of the M81 galaxy group required 38 hours of exposure from a small telescope. Dominant galaxy M81, also known as Bode's galaxy, is near the center, spanning 100,000 light-years with grand spiral arms. Near the top, the cigar-shaped irregular galaxy M82 shows the effects of a billion years of gravitational interaction with M81.
