COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet C/2025 R2 (SWAN) is a new visitor from the outer Solar System, discovered on September 11. It reached its closest approach to the Sun just a day later. First spotted by Vladimir Bezugly using the SWAN instrument on the SOHO spacecraft, it was surprisingly bright despite the Sun's glare. The greenish coma and tail are still close to the Sun in the sky.
