Comet Lemmon over the High Tatras

Comet Lemmon, C/2025 A6, shows two distinct tails as it passes near Earth. The blue ion tail, made of ionized gas, is pushed away from the Sun by the solar wind and glows from sunlight. The white dust tail, composed of tiny solid particles, is gently pushed away from the comet by the pressure of sunlight. This celestial visitor offers a clear view of how comets interact with our star.
