See it on NASA's siteComet R3 PanSTARRS passed in front of Orion, making its tail visible in long-duration exposures. Other bright comets, like Lovejoy in 2015 and Hale-Bopp in 1997, have also crossed paths with this iconic constellation. This image was captured from the Craigieburn Mountain Range.
