COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet Hale-Bopp, seen here over Mobile, Arizona, in 1997, was one of the most widely observed comets in history. It was bright enough to be seen from light-polluted cities. The comet is now outbound, far from the Sun, but still visible with telescopes in the Southern Hemisphere.
