On July 7, the Yohkoh observatory's Soft X-ray Telescope captured an amazing event: three nearly simultaneous jets erupting from the Sun. These X-ray images, shown in negative color, reveal two curving jets of hot plasma appearing above active regions on the solar surface. A third jet is visible on the far side of the Sun.
