The Perseus Cluster of Galaxies

COSMIC MESSAGE

Here is one of the largest objects you will ever see in the sky: the Perseus Cluster of Galaxies. Each fuzzy blob is a galaxy, making up one of the closest galaxy clusters to us. Light from this region takes about 300 million years to reach Earth, so we see it as it existed before the age of the dinosaurs.
