COSMIC MESSAGE

Messier 33, nicknamed the Triangulum, is a prominent spiral galaxy and one of the larger members of the Local Group of Galaxies. At 3 million light-years away, M33 is the second closest spiral galaxy to us. It is thought by some to be a satellite galaxy to the massive Andromeda Galaxy, M31. M33 is close enough to appear twice the angular size of the full moon when viewed with a telescope.
