A Deep Field In The Southern Sky
NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
The Hubble Deep Field South is a deep view of the cosmos, a sequel to the 1995 Hubble Deep Field. The Hubble Space Telescope pointed at a patch of sky in the southern constellation Tucana for ten days. Multiple exposures were combined to reveal progressively fainter, distant galaxies, looking back 12 billion years in time.
