COSMIC MESSAGE
Using the Hubble Space Telescope, researchers found about 600 red giant stars adrift in intergalactic space within the Virgo Cluster. This image is an artist's rendering of what the sky might look like from a planet orbiting such a lonely star. Unlike our own Milky Way, a world orbiting an intergalactic star would have a night sky with far fewer visible stars.
