COSMIC MESSAGE
Sometimes a faint, triangular glow appears near the horizon, distinct from starlight or moonlight. This is zodiacal light, caused by sunlight reflecting off tiny dust particles orbiting the Sun in the plane of the solar system. These dust particles are remnants from comets and asteroids. On a very dark night, this subtle glow can be seen stretching across the sky.
