NGC 2392 from the Newly Fixed Hubble

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Discovered by William Herschel in 1787, NGC 2392 is a planetary nebula, resembling a person's head in a parka hood from the ground. This image from the newly fixed Hubble Space Telescope reveals complex gas clouds that are not fully understood. These gases were the outer layers of a Sun-like star just 10,000 years ago, with inner filaments still being ejected by strong winds.
