Last week, the Earth passed between the Moon and the Sun, casting a shadow on the Moon during a lunar eclipse. In this four-hour exposure, the Earth's rotation caused the Moon and stars to appear as streaks. The foreground features the eleventh-century abbey of Sant Llorenc del Munt in Girona, Spain.
