NASA APOD · Jason Ware
COSMIC MESSAGE

The North America Nebula, NGC 7000, is a familiar shape in the constellation Cygnus. It resembles Earth's North American continent, sitting about 1,500 light-years away. To its right is the less luminous Pelican Nebula, separated by a dark absorption cloud. Both emission nebulae stretch about 50 light-years across.
