The active galaxy Centaurus A is a jumble of young blue star clusters, glowing gas clouds, and dark dust lanes. This Hubble Space Telescope mosaic shows the central region in natural color. Infrared images from Hubble also show disks of matter spiraling into a black hole with a billion solar masses at the center of this activity.
