Using X-ray data from the Chandra Observatory and radio data from the Very Large Array, researchers found evidence for a neutron star within supernova remnant IC443. This suspected neutron star appears as a reddish source in the lower right of this false-color X-ray image. It is perhaps 20 kilometers across, but more massive than the Sun.
