Crater Copernicus

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Copernicus is one of the Moon's most prominent craters, visible with binoculars slightly northwest of the Moon's center. It is distinguished by its size and the many bright rays pointing out from it. Although relatively young for a lunar crater, Copernicus was formed nearly a billion years ago by a colossal impact. The crater's center is about 93 kilometers across.
